Card and cash difference

In the Tebi Back Office > Reporting > Day Overview you can find the Total difference. This is the total number of Card difference + Cash difference registered per day.

Card difference

As soon as a Sale is closed with Card as the payment method, this will be registered as a card payment in Tebi (Total Tebi). This number does not necessarily have to correspond with the actual card payments received in Adyen (Total Adyen). The difference can go two ways:

  1. A Sale is closed manually in Tebi, but the actual payment has not been initiated manually on the terminal.
  2. A payment was processed on the terminal, for which no corresponding payment has been made in Tebi.

The Total revenue registered per day is related to the Sales that are actually completed in Tebi. So if payments have been made via the terminal, for which there is no Sale, then no revenue is registered for that.

Cash difference

A cash difference can arise if Cash movements have not been registered or have been registered incorrectly in Tebi.

When you count cash using the Cash drawer functionality, the difference between the Cash total and Counted cash total will be registered as Cash difference.
