Adding a Prep Station in the App
In Tebi, any place in your establishment where orders are prepared, is called a Prep Station. Prep Stations can be accessed on a dedicated device, such as a small tablet in your kitchen or coffee corner, but it’s also possible to configure a printer to print prep order receipts.

- Go to the Tebi App > Settings > Prep Stations
- Go to the section Prep Stations, click Create new
- Enter the name of the Prep Station
- Select the type of Prep Station: Digital or Printer
Printer Prep Stations

Digital Prep Stations
- Display Prep Stations use a dedicated tablet to show prep orders digitally
- Select the required Preparation Steps
- Select the Ticket View
- In Gallery view, tickets fill the available space
- In columns view, each column shows one ticket
- Hit Save, and your first Prep Station will be ready to go
You can change the number of visible columns in a digital prep station. This allows you to adjust the overview of the Prep tickets depending on the Prep screen size.
- In the App > go to Prep station
- Select the three dots in the top right
- Click on Settings > select Fixed
- Select the number of columns you would like to display
- Note: the size of the text will stay the same, so the many columns on a small screen will make the tickets unreadable
Add Courses
- In the App > go to Settings > Prep stations
- Go to the section Courses, click Create new
- Enter the name of the course (e.g. Starters)
- Hit Save
Add products to Prep Stations and Courses:
- Go to the Tebi App > Products
- Select a product
- Go to the section Preparation
- Select the Prep Station location. When a product is ordered, a ticket will be sent to that station.
- Assign a product to a default course
- Set the preparation priority (High, Medium or Low). This determines the order in which products will be shown in a prep ticket. That way products that take longer to prepare will appear at the top of a prep ticket, while the faster products appear at the end. For example, apply a preparation priority of ‘high’ to a product which takes 20 minutes to prepare and a low priority to a product that takes 5 minutes to prepare.
- Hit Save
Now that we’ve set up a Prep Station, we can add products and modifiers.
