Understanding Your Adyen Balance
Your Adyen balance is a live overview of the funds flowing in and out of your account. When customers make payments, your balance increases. When Adyen sends you a payout, your balance decreases.
In addition to payouts, other costs - such as hardware purchases or your monthly Tebi invoice - are also deducted from your balance. This means your balance is constantly changing based on your payment activity and any related expenses.
Please note that you remain fully responsible for any negative balance, even if you stop processing payments through Tebi.
How to View Your Adyen Balance
To check your current balance, log in to Adyen Essentials, go to Home, and look under Next payout.
Here, you’ll see your current balance:
- A positive amount means you have funds available and will receive a payout.
- A negative amount means there’s a shortfall, and you’ll need to top up your balance.
How to Top Up Your Adyen Balance
If your Adyen balance is negative, you can top it up directly in Adyen Essentials. On the Home page, click the Control your balances button, then select Top up. Choose the amount, select a reason, and click Open payment link to complete the process.
Alternatively, you can transfer the amount manually to Tebi’s bank account with the description “Top up negative balance Adyen”, and we’ll take care of it for you:
IBAN: NL70 RABO 0366 0536 12
Name: Tebi B.V.
Please note: If you’re using reservations, your total available balance in the Control your balance screen may appear €1,000 higher than your actual balance. This is because Tebi provides a €1,000 negative refund allowance, allowing you to process refunds even when your balance is low. Your actual balance is always shown under Next payout on the Home page in Adyen Essentials.
